Global and regional digital leader LG Electronics has announced that it will unveil its latest products and future technologies at the 3GSM World Congress 2007, to be held in Barcelona, Spain, from February 12 to 15.
One of the main highlights will be LG's second model in its premium Black Label series, the LG Shine Phone, which will be launched in Europe. Long Term Evolution (LTE), next generation technology from LG and Nortel will also be featured at the event. This year, LG will showcase striking new mobile phones with revolutionary technical features and luxurious designs under their theme 'Born to Shine: the Shining Moments in Your Life.'
'In 2006, LG established its reputation in the world market with the Chocolate Phone,' said Mr. K.W. Kim, President of LG Electronics - Middle East and Africa. 'The European market is experiencing rapid growth in the demand for products with the latest technology and trendy designs, making it a vital market for mobile phone manufacturers.
'LG will make another leap forward as a premium brand in the mobile industry at this event, as we will introduce some of the most advanced technology that LG employs to create its handset masterpieces,' he added. 'These models show how LG is continually innovating so we can create the best possible customer experience.'
LG's booth will feature its stunning new handset, the Shine Phone, with its real metal and mirrored style. This new phone is the second installment of its premium Black Label series, and is expected to be another bestseller like last year's hit Chocolate Phone.
The digital leader will also bring another premium masterpiece to Spain - its collaboration with fashion house PRADA has yielded PRADA Phone by LG, which defines a new category of mobile phones with its innovative touch screen technology and prestigious style.
LG and Nortel will also demonstrate Long Term Evolution (LTE), a nearly-4G technology, which features data transfers at twice the speed of HSDPA. LG will display its second commercialised HSDPA phone and showcase its HSPA (HSDPA, HSUPA), WiMAX and mobile broadcasting (DVB-H, MediaFLO and DMB) during the event.
The 3GSM World Congress is the world's largest exhibition for the mobile industry, featuring mobile operators, vendors and content owners from across the world. Last year, over 50,000 people attended the event.
LG's booth is located at Hall 8, 3GSM World Congress in Fira de Barcelona, Spain.
